Vontive

Vontive is the embedded‑mortgage platform that lets trusted consumer and financial‑services brands offer investment‑property loans while our software automates underwriting, risk management, and capital‑markets execution.​ As a Senior Accountant at Vontive, you will transform the granular loan‑level data from multiple entities into timely, GAAP‑compliant financials.

Responsibilities

  • Be an integral part of our month-end close process by booking journal entries, preparing account reconciliations, conducting flux analysis, and ensuring close is timely
  • Play a key role in the implementation of our new ERP (NetSuite) and other process improvements to streamline close and build scalable solutions to support the growth of the business
  • Support external audits and ensure compliance with internal controls
  • Prepare support for various tax filings and own assigned regulatory reporting tasks
  • Assist in technical accounting research
  • Partner with Data Engineering to automate journal entries via ETL application
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting in support of Leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required; CPA (active) preferred; Master’s a plus
  • 5+ years of accounting experience required; prior loan accounting experience is strongly preferred; prior experience accounting for securitization trusts, working in dynamic start up environments, and/or for fintechs is a plus
  • Proficiency in Excel is required (there will be a test); experience with BI tools is preferred; basic understanding of SQL, middleware applications, and/or data science in general is a nice to have
  • Prior experience working with Netsuite and/or Xero is preferred
  • Prior technical accounting experience in the areas of revenue recognition (ASC 606), servicing and transfers (ASC 860), consolidations (ASC 810), FVO (ASC 825), and/or equity and equity-linked financial instruments (ASC 480) is a big plus
  • Clear, concise communicator who “assumes best intent” and thrives on feedback and continuous improvement​
